Custom 3D Printing

From a sketch, a rough dimension or a model you already have — designed in CAD, printed, finished and handed back as a working part.

Custom parts, made to order

Tell me what you need. I'll make it.

If the part you want doesn't exist, has snapped in half, or only lives in your head right now, there is a good chance it can be modelled and printed. I do the CAD work myself, print it, clean it up and check it fits before it goes anywhere.

Jobs run from a single replacement clip to a short batch of brackets. Whatever it is, you get a fixed quote before anything starts — so there is never a surprise at the end.

01
You already have the file
Send an STL, STEP or 3MF and I print it. Orientation, wall thickness and infill get chosen for how the part will actually be used, not left on whatever the slicer suggested.

A printable file

02
You have an idea, not a model
Describe it, sketch it, or hand me a couple of dimensions. I model it in CAD, show you what it looks like before anything is printed, and change it while changing it is still cheap.
You bring
A sketch or a rough size

Something broke and nobody sells it
A discontinued clip, a snapped mounting bracket, a knob that came off a machine older than I am. Measured, redrawn and reprinted — usually sturdier than the part that failed.
You bring
The broken part or photos

You need more than one
Jigs, fixtures, enclosures, mounts — short runs where tooling makes no sense. One file, printed as many times as you need, each one the same as the last.
You bring
A quantity and a deadline

01
Tell me about it
What the part does, where it sits and roughly how big it is. Photos with something for scale beside them are worth a thousand words.
02
You get a quote
A fixed price, a material and an honest date. Nothing is ordered, modelled or printed until you say go ahead.
03
I make it
Modelled, sliced and printed. If there is a decision worth making along the way, you see it before it is committed to plastic.
04
It lands in your hands
Supports cleaned off, edges tidied, fit checked. If it does not work the way we agreed, I put it right.
Pricing

There is no price list, and that is on purpose.

Two parts the same size can be hours apart on the machine. Rather than pad a number to cover the worst case, I quote each job on what it actually takes — and tell you if there is a cheaper way to get the same part.

Things I have made · 01–04

A look at what comes off the machine.

Below are builds I have taken from an idea to a part that gets used — some for coursework, some because I wanted one and could not buy it. They are here so you can see the finish, the tolerances and the kind of thinking that goes into a job before you send me yours.

Got something in mind?
Send over the part, the sketch or just the problem. I will come back with what it would take to make it, what it would cost, and whether 3D printing is even the right answer — sometimes it is not, and I will say so.
